FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TIA UK Kick-Start Tennis to continue at the Next Generation Club, Cambridge... on Saturday 27 May, 200617 March, 2006 The TIA UK’s grass roots programme, Kick-Start Tennis, is being given a great boost by the Next Generation Club in Cambridge, which will be hosting the first of what is hoped to be several days around the country this year to attract youngsters to the game. Logistical details are still being
worked on but, all being well, NGC’s pilot will take place on Saturday 27 May in
Cambridge and will act as a blueprint for further events at the group’s other
clubs. “We are thrilled that Next Generation have stepped in to support Kick-Start Tennis,” says Henry Wancke, the TIA’s Chairman. “We learned valuable lessons from the scheme last year that visited eight venues and enabled over 1200 kids to try tennis, many for the first time.” The TIA UK Chairman, Henry Wancke (Tennis Today Magazine)
