TIA Launches Pilot KickStart Tennis Campaign11 February 2005 The TIA's Kick-Start Tennis campaign gets under way this weekend in Scotland and travels south over the half-term break bringing youngsters of all ages around the country the opportunity to try their hand at the game for the first time. The pilot Kick-Start Tennis campaign is being staged at various David Lloyd Clubs around the country where youngsters from the surrounding communities are being given free access to the facilities. Two Australian coaches, Alexei Demajo and George Georgopoulos, are visiting Edinburgh, Glasgow, Teesside, Liverpool, Birmingham, Woking, Heston and Basildon over the week-long tour, travelling in a van loaned to the campaign by The Cliff Richard Tennis Foundation. Kick-Start Tennis is a Tennis Industry Association initiative to help grow the game in Britain and is directly supported David Lloyd Lesiure Ltd, Decathlon UK Ltd, Tretorn, Sunbaba Screens, The Tennis Gallery and Tennis Today Magazine.
